First of all, there is no guarantee that you wont still have a problem...also you will only hear his audio...you wont see that pic in his view screen, since that is only a pic and not a video.
You need to download VLC if you already havent.. heres the link
tinyurl.com/3vahs46
This ver of VLC is not the ver i use and that you will see in the video, however its still done the same way, things may just be in a differant place..just follow the directions and you will be fine.
you will also need to download a port scanner..this is the one i use...Cports...when you get on this page go to the bottom and click on "download currports"
www.nirsoft.net/utils/cports.html
The steps i am going to decribe here , are the steps you will see me take in the video. Just copy my mouse strokes. At the end of the video, the channel will start playing in VLC, and you will hear it.
Im assumeing you now have VLC and the Port scanner installed and are ready to go...so lets start ( in the video i will move the cursor slowly so you can see what im doing)
1. Open his channel and leave it open...
2. Open the port scanner and scroll down till you see PLAYER.EXE...you should see two of them. Its the 2nd one you want to look at. Now move across the page and look for the "remote" port number. It will almost always be a 4/5 digit number. Copy that number down. NOTE: That port number is going to change every time you do this. Close the port scanner. Look at the top of the page his channel is on. In the browser line you will see a bunch of text followed by a code that looks like this. 4c850b71ec9cb. You need to copy that you are going to need to paste it in to a code line in just a moment.
3. I want you to make a text file and paste this code into it and save it.
127.0.0.1:56664/77.67.109.221,4c850b71ec9cb
The only thing you will need to change is the port number which in this case is 56664. just always change that number to the remote port number that you get from the port scanner...dont change anything else, i have already included Veetle's IP number and Jeffs channel code. Be careful when you do this so you dont erace part off that code.
4. Open VLC and click "Media"
5. Click "open network stream"
6. In the "protocol" box make sure it says HTTP
7. Paste the code in to the address box
8. Click "Play" at the bottom of the page
9. Remember, you have had his channel open all this time. Now just wait a few seconds and if you have done everything right, his channel will appear to go off the air and you should see"broadcaster has stopped streaming" or something like that.
10. DO NOT close the channel, just minimize it to the tray.
11. Go back to VLC and click "play" on the front of the Interface.
12. You should be hearing his music now.
If it doesent work open VLC and click "tools" then click "reset all preferences" and try again. Remember you will have to change that port number every time.
LOL...i told you it was hard to explain..VLC is not for beginners or the faint of heart...so if you have trouble , dont worry, this is hard stuff...just keep after it and you will be fine.
EDIT: AFTER YOU HAVE DONE ALL OF THIS AND YOU ARE LISTENING TO THE CHANNEL, JUST CLICK "RECORD" ON THE VLC INTERFACE. THE RECORDING WILL SHOW UP NORMALLY IN "MY DOCUMENTS" GOOD LUCK
